12.9 Realignment of the lamp in its reector
What has to be done?
The arc of the xenon lamp mus t be plac ed in the focal point of the Reector for m aximum light output.

Each xenon lamp installation requires a realignment of the lam p in its reector for optimal performance of the
xenon lamp. Furthermore, it is recommended to realign the lamp after the rst run time of 10
0 and 200 hours.
Especially the Z -axis of the lamp.
WARNING: This procedure may only be performed by qualied technical service p ersonnel.

How to realign the lamp in its reector?
1. R emov e the cover of the lamp c ompa rtment to gain access to the X -, Y -, and Z-axis adjustment thumbscrews of the lamp.
2. Sw itch on the projector and start up the lam p.
3. Go via the Co mmunicator to the menu Installation > Lamp > Light alig
nment.
Note: This window on the Com munic ator shows the measured value of the built-in light sensor of the projector.

4. Adjust the X -axis (ref X image 1 2-40), the Y-axis (ref Y image 12-40) and the Z-axis (ref Z image 12-40) for maximum current light
output (Footlambert Measured). Carefully turn the t hum bscrew for maxim um light output. Once over the maximum, turn slightly
in oppos ite direction to reach the maxim um light output again. Do this for eac h direction and repeat this adjustment cycle twice.
