TIRES
An inflation pressure of 33 to 40 psi should be maintained
on the 7 .00 x 6 main wheel tires. The 5.00 x 5 nose wheel
tire should be inflated to 40 psi. Maintaining proper tire
inflation will minimize tread wear and aid in preventing
tire failure caused from running over sharp stones. When
inflating tires, visually inspect them for cracks and breaks.
CAUTION
Beech Aircraft Corporation cannot recommend
the use of recapped tires. Recapped tires have
a tendency to swell as a result of the increased
temperature generated during takeoff.
Increased tire size can jeopardize proper
function of the landing gear retract system,
with the possibility of damage to the landing
gear doors and retract mechanism.
SHOCK STRUTS
The following procedures may be used for servicing both
the main and the nose gear shock struts.
TO INFLATE STRUTS:
1. Check to see that the airplane is empty except for full
fuel and oil.
2. While rocking the airplane gently to prevent possible
binding of the piston in the barrel, inflate the shock
strut until the main gear piston is extended 3 inches
(3-1/2 inches on the nose gear).
