3.4 Gas manifold 0986610970
The gas manifold is intended exclusively for leak check-
ing of AdBlue delivery modules using forming gas 5. On
AdBlue delivery modules of the type Denoxtronic 1.1,
leak checking is carried out on the AdBlue circuit and
the air circuit.
The membrane grommet (fig. 4, item 2) of the service
box is designed to prevent of excessive pressure build-
up in the gas manifold and is used to check the leak-
tightness of the internal tubing.
The customer must fit a connection piece (external
thread, 1/4") and a bleeding pipe (not included in the
scope of delivery) to the bleeding port (fig. 4, item 5).
! The bleeding pipe must be routed from the gas
manifold to outside the building.

3.3 Test adapter 0 986 610 172
Before function tests are performed on AdBlue delivery
modules, the test adapter 0 986 610 172 is used to set
the values for tank temperature, tank level and exhaust
gas temperature upstream and downstream from the
catalytic converter. The values are specified in the cor-
responding ESI[tronic] test and repair instructions.

i The test is carried out with the test adapter
0 986 610 174 for the Scania make. The test adapter
is not included in the scope of delivery and must be
ordered separately.
i The proper way to connect and use the test adapter
is described in the ESI[tronic] test and repair in-
structions.
i A defective test adapter must be replaced in its
entirety.
