Error code list
Error Error message Description Remedy
5501 [Machine Error]
A timeout has occurred in
waiting for the (K) sub tank
being refilled.
Check to see if the pouch is empty.
Check to see if the pouch is properly wound.
Check for the movement of the cartridge winding
shaft.
Make the pouch uniformly flatted to set it properly.
Check for the movement of the cartridge ink
detection plate.
Check to see if the remaining ink level sensor
properly works.
Check to see if the ink is leaking.
Check to see if the remaining sub tank level sensor
properly works.
Check to see if the operation of the valve solenoid.
Open the valve to check to see if the sub tank
swells.
Replace the needle, tube, valve, and sub tank.
5502 [Machine Error]
A timeout has occurred in
waiting for the (M) sub tank
being refilled.
5503 [Machine Error]
A timeout has occurred in
waiting for the (C) sub tank
being refilled.
5504 [Machine Error]
A timeout has occurred in
waiting for the (Y) sub tank
being refilled.
5600 [Machine Error]
It is an error of access to the
IC chip.
(1) After reactivating the GTX, wait and see the
situation if it operates without any error.
(2) There is a possibility that this error occurred
collaterally after any other error had occurred.
Acquire the log file and use the GTX4 Service Tool
(View the DataLog -> Check Operation) to check
to see if another error occurs before or after this
error log.
5601 [Machine Error]
It is an error of access to the
IC chip.
5602 [Machine Error]
It is an error of access to the
IC chip.
5603 [Machine Error]
It is an error of access to the
IC chip.
5801 [Machine Error]
It is a communication error
between the internal CPUs.
Items to be checked:
(1) Check to see if there are strong
noise-generating object(s) in the surroundings.
(2) If a USB flash drive is inserted in the GTX,
remove it and check to see if an error occurs even
when reactivating the GTX.
Electric components as candidate for replacement:
Main circuit board, Color power harness, and
White power harness
5802 [Machine Error]
It is a communication error
between the internal CPUs.
5803 [Machine Error]
It is a communication error
between the internal CPUs.
5804 [Machine Error]
It is a communication error
between the internal CPUs.
6004 [Obstacle on the Platen]
The obstacle sensor has
failed.
Items to be checked:
(1) Check to see if the obstacle sensor is covered
with something.
(2) Turn on the clearance sensor in the output
check and check to see if there is entrance of red
light into the hole of the light receiving side (on the
right side viewed from the front).
(3) Reactivate the GTX to check to see if any error
occurs.
Electric components as candidate for replacement:
Photoelectric sensor HP7-T11, Main circuit board,
Main power harness (in case of (3)), and Power
circuit board
