Reassembling Notes
• Route the ADF harness (consisting of the ADF motor harness and document front and rear sensor
harnesses) on the ADF unit as shown below.

• When installing the ADF & document cover ASSY to the scanner cover (scanner unit), route the
ADF harness and grounding wire through the groove provided in the left rear corner of the
scanner cover (see the illustration at the bottom of page 5-14).
After installation, route the ADF harness, grounding wire, and CIS motor harness on the
underside of the scanner cover. Sandwich the harness spacer between the ADF harness and CIS
motor harness (see the illustration at the top of page 5-14).
