This function allows you to check the following:
- Document front sensor
- Document rear sensor
- Scanner open sensor
- Registration sensor
- Purge cam switch
- Black ink cartridge sensor
- Yellow ink cartridge sensor
- Cyan ink cartridge sensor
- Magenta ink cartridge sensor
- Head driver chip temperature sensor
- Hook switch (MFC640CW)
 Operating Procedure
(1) MFC820CW/640CW
Press the 3 and 2 keys in this order in the initial stage of the maintenance mode.

Enter 3 and 2 in the initial stage of the maintenance mode by using the
and Set keys.*
(*To enter a numerical code on models having no numerical keypad, press the key several times to
display the numerical code to be entered and then press the Set key. Repeat this operation for each
numerical code.)
The machine sounds 1100 Hz and 400 Hz tones cyclically through the following volumes for
testing the speaker:
NOTE: To stop beeping, press the Menu/Set (OK, Set) key.
