(8) Check whether the entered character strings (ID code and head property information) are
correct with the following procedure.

Press the 8 and 0 keys in this order. Then press the Black Start key several times, and the ID
code appears on the LCD. Check that the displayed code is that string entered in step (6).
Next, press the 6 and 8 keys in this order. Then press the 2, 5, 8, 0 keys in this order, and the
head property code appears on the LCD. Check that the displayed code is that string entered
in step (7).

Enter 8 and 0 by using the
and Set keys.* Then press the Mono Start key several times,
and the ID code appears on the LCD. Check that the displayed code is that string entered in
step (6).
Next, enter 6, 8, 2, 5, 8, and 0 by using the
and Set keys*, and the head property code
appears on the LCD. Check that the displayed code is that string entered in step (7).
(*To enter a numerical code on models having no numerical keypad, press the key several times to
display the numerical code to be entered and then press the Set key. Repeat this operation for each
numerical code.)
(9) If both are OK, proceed to [ 8 ] below.
If something wrong is displayed, check the connection between the PC and machine and go
back to step (2).
