MAINTENANCE
The MFC and MFM are in principle maintenance-free when operated according to
the notes given in these Instructions, so that routine recalibration is unnecessary.
If after prolonged operation with contaminated medium, large quantities of particles
were drawn in, with Types 8626 / 8006 / 8710 / 8700 / 8711 / 8701, 8712 / 8702 /
8713 / 8703 / 8716 / 8706 the easily accessible stainless steel filter can be
cleaned or replaced after removing the flange plate on the inlet side (see Appendix
B).
If the sensor is contaminated by the operating gas, the device may exhibit large
deviations from the required flow after prolonged operation. Cleaning and
recalibration in the factory will then be necessary.
ATTENTION!
The device must not be opened!
Inside the device there are further elements for flow
conditioning. Interference with the device, e. g. for cleaning, is
not permitted since the resulting changes in the sensor signal
would require recalibration in the factory!
