If required by law BYD may also be obliged to disclose data upon request
to governmental authorities in your country, e.g. in the event of the
investigation of a criminal offence.
Your Data Protection Rights
BYD has staunch respect for its customer's privacy, and strictly complies
with all data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local laws.
According to these laws, owners have specific rights when their personal
data is processed:
Data subjects have the right of information and access, to rectification,
erasure of personal data ('right to be forgotten')and the right to object to the
processing of personal data or to restrict it (or to withdraw consent given
earlier, as well as the right to data portability).
These rights may be limited in some cases- for example, if we can show
that we have a legal obligation to process your data, or if providing the
information to you would disclose personal data about another person, or if
we are legally prevented from disclosing that information.
In some cases, this may mean that we can retain the data even if you
withdraw your consent.
