Surge Suppression unit
The ePMP integrated and connectorized units both contain 1 Joule-rated surge suppression built
into the device. With this built-in surge suppression, it is not required to install a surge suppressor
at the unit’s mounting location. However, it is required to install a surge suppressor at the
Ethernet cable’s building ingress into the power supply’s indoor location. For installations that do
not require Gigabit (1000 Mbit/sec) Ethernet, a Cambium 600SSH surge suppressor may be used.
