4.2 Installation environment
The device is not designed to be continuously exposed to direct light. This may
accelerate the ageing process of the front protection film.
The device must not be installed in contact with corrosive chemicals. Make sure
the front protection film can withstand a specific compound before installation.
Do not use tools (e.g. screwdrivers) to operate the touchscreen terminal.
4.2.1 Environmental conditions
Avoid assembling the controller and terminal in rooms with the following
characteristics:
• exposure to direct sunlight or the elements in general;
• temperature and humidity that do not conform to rated operating data (see
the table of technical specifications);
• large and rapid fluctuations in the room temperature;
• strong magnetic and/or radio frequency interference (avoid installation near
transmitting antennae);
• strong vibrations or knocks;
• environments where explosives or mixes of flammable gases are present;
• exposure to aggressive and polluting atmospheres (e.g.: sulphur and ammonia
fumes, saline mist, smoke) that cause corrosion and/or oxidation;
• exposure to dust (training of corrosive patina with possible oxidation and
reduction of insulation);
• exposure to water.
4.3 Preparing for assembly
4.3.2 Positioning
The terminal can be installed in a vertical position in the electrical panel. Maximum
ambient temperature is 50 °C or 60°C, according to the model. See the table of
technical specifications.
Important: make sure there is sufficient air flow and air change when
ambient temperature reaches the allowed operating limit. Otherwise, the terminal
may be damaged and the warranty will be void.
