- Disengage front-wheel drive and park tractor on a
rm surface. Turn steering wheel so front wheels
are pointing straight ahead. Stop the engine.
- Measure and record distance between the centre
lines of each tire, at hub height and to the front of
the axle, using an external measurement of each
tyre.
- Drive tractor rearward by about 1 metre (39.36 in)
so that tyre marks move to the rear of the axle, at
hub height. Measure and record distance between
the tyres again, at the same point.
- Determine the dierence between front and rear
measurements. If front measurement is smaller,
toe-in is correct. If rear measurement is smaller,
toe-in is not correct. Toe-in should be below 2
millimetres (0.07 in).
