This
command
initiates
2MHz
mode,
causing
the
VIC
40-column
screen
to
be
turned
off.
All
operations
(except
I/O)
are
speeded
up
considerably.
Graphics
may
be
used,
but
will
not
be
visible
until
a
SLOW
command
is
issued.
The
Commodore
128
powers
up
in
1
MHz
mode,
and
automatically
selects
1
MHz
mode
for
disk
I/O,
restoring
the
mode
when
the operation
is
complete.
Take
care
to
select
SLOW
mode
when
using
FETCH,
STASH
or
SWAP
commands.
