2.4.2 CHIPSET
The Intel 815E chipset consists of a Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH), an enhanced I/O
controller hub (ICH2), and a firmware hub (FWH). Table 2-2 lists the integrated functions
provided by the chipset.

Input/output functions not provided by the chipset are handled by other support components.
Some of these components also provide “housekeeping” and various other functions as well.
