Drive assist sensors and cameras
The button for the driver assistance systems is
located on the multifunction steering wheel.
This button can be used to switch the driver
assistance systems in the Assistants menu on
and o.

Press the button to open the Assistants
menu.

Select the assistance system in question and
turn it o or on. A mark indicates that assistant
system is switched on.

Next, conrm the selection by pressing
the button on the multifunction steering
wheel.
The assistant systems can also be switched on
and o in the infotainment system, in the vehi-
cle settings menu ›››page39.

A radar sensor may be tted to the front
bumper of the vehicle ›››Fig.128. The front
radar detects any objects in its detection zone
›››Fig.129 and provides support for the fol-
lowing functions:

Front Assist ›››page211.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) ›››page204.
The radar can have a range of up to 120m
(400ft) depending on road and weather con-
ditions.
WARNING
●
The visibility of the radar sensor can be
impaired by dirt or environmental inuences
such as rain, fog, snow, mud, dust, insects
etc. In this case the Front Assist and ACC
functions may stop working. The instrument
panel displays the following message: No
sensor vision! And the Front Assist unavaila-
ble or ACC unavailable warning lights come
on.

Clean the sensor area on the bumper as
indicated in ›››page385, Cleaning the
exterior. When the radar sensor starts cor-
rectly detecting again, the message disap-
pears from the screen and the functions be-
come available again.
