, pull it up and push
it towards the backrest of the rear seats until it
folds along the hinge line and the movable part
of the oor is resting on itself.
Rest the oor on its housings ›››Fig.187
(arrows).
WARNING
Always secure objects, even when the lug-
gage compartment oor is properly lifted.
Only objects that do not protrude more
than 2/3 the height of the oor may be car-
ried between the rear seat and the raised
luggage compartment oor.
Only objects that do not weigh than ap-
proximately 7.5 kg may be carried between

Fastening rings
Fig.188 In the luggage compartment:
fastening rings.
There are fastening rings ›››Fig.188 on the
front and rear of the boot to secure loose
objects and luggage with fastening belts and
cords.
WARNING
If unsuitable or damaged belts or retaining
straps are used, they could break in the event
of braking or an accident. Objects could then
be launched across the passenger compart-
ment and cause serious or fatal injuries.
Always use belts or straps that are suitable
and in good condition.
Tighten the belts and straps in a cross lay-
out over the load placed on the boot oor
and secure them to the fastening rings safely.
Never exceed the maximum tensile load of
the fastening rings when securing objects.
Make sure that, particularly for at objects,
the upper edge of the load is higher than the
fastening rings.
Depending on the features, take into ac-
count the instruction panels on the boot on
how to place the load.
Never secure a child seat to the fastening
rings.
Note
The maximum tensile load that the fasten-
ing rings can support is approx. 3.5 kN.
Belts, straps and securing systems for the
appropriate load can be obtained from spe-
cialised dealerships. To do so, CUPRA recom-
mends going to a specialised CUPRA dealer
or any SEAT dealership.
