INTERNAL BACKUP (SAVE)
A machine parameter and tools backup is available in the internal memory. A
restoration can also be performed from this same internal memory.
This functionality is exclusively used by the manufacturer to memorize the
parameters and tools state, at the time of the delivery of the machine.
In the event of problems, this will allow the operator to easily reload the orig-
inal parameters and/or delivered tools. This can be done without connecting
the DNC to a PC.
Note: Only the last compatible backup can be restored.
The memory quantity is limited. Each save takes up memory space (no re-
write possible) and the number of backups depends on the software version
and the number of tools.
If this memory is full, it can only be deleted by reinstalling the boot software
(See further). This is an operation which must only be done by a qualified
and trained person.The number of backup saves available (generally 1 to 2)
is enough for the correct use of this function:
Backup are usually performed:
• When the machine leaves the factory.
• When the machine is set up in workshop
• When a technician is called to re-configure a machine.

To save the machine parameters and tools, go to the TRANSFER RS232
page from the main menu.
