Section 3 - Conguration
If you selected Dynamic IP address, congure the following information:
Connection Type: Select either 1483 Bridged IP LLC or 1483 Bridged IP VC-
Mux.
MAC Address: If your ISP locks your account to a specific device, you can clone
that devices MAC address to your DSL-2740M so that you may
connect to the Internet. Click the Clone MAC Address button
to clone the MAC address of the device you are currently using
to access to the web configuration utility.
If IPv4 or IPv4/IPv6 is selected, congure the following settings:
NAT: Check this box to Enable Network Address Translation (NAT).
IGMP: Select Disable, IGMP-v1, or IGMP -v2.
Default Route: Select Enable or Disable.
If IPv4/IPv6 or IPv6 is selected, congure the following settings:
DHCP IPv6 Enable: Select either DHCP or SLAAC addressing.
DHCP PD Enable: Enable or disable DHCP-PD for other IPv6 routers connected to
the LAN interface. Note: This feature requires a smaller subnet
prex than /64 (i.e. allowing for a larger address allocation), such
as /63. Contact your ISP for more information.
MLD Proxy: Enable to allow IPv6 multicast trac to pass through the router
from the Internet.
Proceed to Virtual Circuit Settings on page 30.
