Adding Intake Fans
After adding the DC I/O board, peripherals connected to the DC I/O can be added.
These peripherals may include intake and heater fans, door sensors, power supplies,
beacons, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), and surge suppressors.
Note: The DC I/O must be congured before any devices plugged into the DC I/O are
congured, or these devices will not be available in the Add Peripherals menu.
Refer to the display’s Schematic and the sign PeripheralConguration drawing for
connection information and to determine which peripherals need adding.
To add a ventilation fan:
1. Press 5 (Add Fans) in the Add Peripherals menu. The menu pictured in Figure 86
opens.
2. To add intake fans, press 1.
3. Select to which target the fans attach; refer to Figure 87. Refer to the display’s
Schematic and the SignPeripheralConguration drawing to determine where the
fans attach.
Note: If the correct target is not available, that option needs to be added before
adding the fans.
4. Type the appropriate control pin for the fans and press Enter; refer to Figure 88. Refer
to the display’s Schematic drawing and the SignPeripheralConguration drawing to
determine the control method for the fans.
5. The menu returns to the Add Peripherals menu.
