Aiming Duration Time
Specifies the frame of time the aiming pointer remains on after decoding a
label, when in trigger single mode. The range for this setting is from 1 to 255
seconds in 1-second increments.
Follow these instructions to set this feature:
1. Determine the desired setting.
2. Pad the result with leading zeroes to yield three digits. For example: 0 =
0
00, 5 = 005, 20 = 020, etc.
3. Go to
page 108 and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code
to enter Programming Mode.
4. Scan the bar code: SELECT AIM
ING DURATION TIME SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate three digits from the keypad in
Appendix D, Keypad,
that represent the duration which was determined in the steps above. You
wil
l hear a two-beep indication after the last character.
NOTE
If you make a mistake before the last
 character, scan the CANCEL bar
code to abort and not save the entry string. You can then start again
at the beginning.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit Programming
Mode.
This completes the procedure. See
Table 19
