ES601Plus OPERATING MANUAL
COMPUTER
INTERFACE:
Enters a menu for uploading instrument configuration data (autosequences; test
procedures; equipment control number lists) into ES601Plus, as transmitted by
a personal computer (PC) running the ES601pc software program. This menu is
also used for downloading test data from ES601Plus, into the ES601pc
program. Buttons provided on the COMPUTER INTERFACE menu are used
to select the physical connection to the PC, as follows:
RS-232 PORT:
Opens the connection via the RS-232 Port and awaits
communication from the PC running ES601pc.
USB PORT:
Opens the connection via the USB Port and awaits
communication from the PC running ES601pc.
ETHERNET
PORT:
Opens the connection via the ETHERNET Port and
awaits communication from the PC running ES601pc.
ESCAPE:
Exit Computer Interface mode to the System Settings
menu.
CAL TOUCHSCN:
Enters a utility for calibrating the ES601Plus analog touch screen. Note: If the
user chooses to perform the calibration procedure, the calibration must be
completed as directed by the instructions presented on the LCD, otherwise, an
unuseable touch screen may result (see Chapter 9).
EXIT:
Exits to the previous menu (AUTO or MANUAL), or to AUTO MODE if the
Systems Settings menu was entered from the startup screen. On exit, changes
made to settings are saved in the non-volatile memory of ES601Plus.
