5.10 Leakage Current Test
Pressing the LEAKAGE CURRENT button on the MANUAL MODE menu allows you to set up
the parameters for a leakage current test. Once the parameters have been set, the test itself will run
as an automated sequence of measurements. During the test, buttons are provided on the LCD to
allow the sequence to be paused, and individual measurements in the sequence to be repeated, if
desired.
Test conditions provided by the leakage setup menu will depend on the safety standard which has
been selected on the MANUAL MODE menu. For the IEC60601 menu shown above, the test
conditions are:
CLASS:
Selects Class I (default) or Class II. "Class I" equipment has a 3-wire
AC supply connection, incorporating protective earth; "Class II" is
two-wire, with no protective earth. Depending on the safety standard,
this control may affect leakage pass/fail limits.
