IPv6 Address
— Defines the destination IPv6 address.
Prefix Length
— Specifies the length of the IPv6 prefix. The Prefix field is applicable only when the
IPv6 Static IP address is defined as a Global IPv6 address. The range is 5 - 128.
Interface
— Displays the interface that is used to forward the packet. Interface refers to any Port, LAG
or VLAN.
Next
Hop — Defines the address to which the packet is forwarded on the route to the Destination
address (typically the address of a neighboring router). This can be either a Link Local or Global
IPv6 address.
Metric
— Indicates the value used for comparing this route to other routes with the same destination in
the IPv6 route table. This is an administrative distance with the range of 0-255. The default value is 1.
•Life-Time
— Indicates the life-time of the route.
Route
Ty p e
— Displays whether the destination is directly attached and the means by which the entry
was learned. The following values are:
Local
— Indicates a directly connected route entry.
Static
— Indicates the route is learned through the ND process. The entry is automatically
converted to a static entry.
ICMP
— Indicates the route is learned through ICMP messages.
ND
— Indicates the route is learned through RA messages.
