3. Route the cables properly through the cable guide and connect the cables to the connector on the system board.

Next steps
1. Install the cooling fan cage assembly.
2. Install all the drives.
3. If removed, install the air shroud or install the GPU air shroud.
4. Install the drive backplane cover.
5. Connect the drive backplane cables to the connector on the system board.
6. Connect the drive backplane cables to the connector on the backplane.
7. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.

Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the backplane cover.
4. If installed, remove the air shroud.
5. Remove the cooling fan assembly.
NOTE:
Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route the cable
properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
