Removing the battery
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the base cover.
3 To remove the battery:
a Peel the adhesive tape that secures the battery cable connector to the system board [1].
b Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [2].
c Remove the 4 (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palmrest and keyboard assembly [1].
d Lift the battery away from the system [2].
