Soldering
Solder the coloured wires to the appropriate D Socket pins, identified with small
numbers on the connector. Make sure the cable is threaded through the hood first.

Fitting the Hood
1. Push the two D locking screws into the hood body, either side of the connector
recess. They can be used to hold this socket to the HH2 plug.
2. Fit the cable clamp to grip the protruding cable sheath for the PR1 or the end of
the heat shrink for ML1 or ML2.
3. Loosen the hood screws and the back of the hood.
4. Taking care not to dislodge the o-ring that’s just inside the hood body, pull on the
cable and guide the clamp into the body. Stop when the clamp rests at the back of
the body.
5.
Ensure the o-ring is fully in its groove: carefully ease it into its groove – all
around - if needed. Push in the D socket to seal against it. Hold the connector in
place, with the two holding clips, which grip the hood body & socket together.
6. With the rubber gasket over the heat shrink & the back of the hood in place,
tighten the two hood screws, to compress the gasket. Don’t over-tighten these
screws, as they only screw into plastic.
