Verification of Panoramic centering and symmetry
1. Place the centering tool (P/N 54089021) on the chin rest and a filter
of about 6 mm Al on the slot of the Cassette holder.
2. Make a PAN exposure in adult mode at 75 kV and develop the film.
3. Measure on the film the distance between the white balls (the
drawing shows the image in negative) which must 89mm ± 1mm and
check symmetry with respect to the center of the image: distance
between lateral balls and center ball must be in the range 44-45 mm.
NOTE:
The four white ball on the film are the images of the metal balls present
on the centering tool (cod. 54089021).
4. If the distance between the two external balls is not in range, it is
possible to correct it by moving the chin rest support longitudinally,
taking note that moving it toward the cassette shortens the distance
between the two balls, moving it toward the tubehead the distance
increases.
