If the port is used with a modem, set the device type set to

directly to PortServer II’s normal login interface. For other types of connection
that need modem signals, set the device type to

. All of these device types
ensure that RTS and DTR modem signals go low and stay low for at least two
seconds between connections, to allow modems and other devices to reset
