Calling
How to place calls, answer calls, and options available when a
call is arriving or in progress are described.
Telephone Function
Emergency Location Report
Making emergency calls (110, 119 or 118) automatically
reports handset location to corresponding agency (police,
etc.). This system is referred to as Emergency Location
Report, and notifies location based on positioning from
base stations.
・Location Report does not incur registration/transmission
fees.
・Location/signal conditions affect positioning accuracy.
Always provide location and call purpose.
・Hiding Caller ID (using 184, etc.) cancels Location Report.
However, corresponding agency may obtain location
information in life threatening situations.
・Location Report is not sent for calls made while outside
Japan.
VoLTE Compatibility
Handset is compatible with VoLTE and HD Voice, making it
possible to use voice calls with higher sound quality. For
details, see "Using VoLTE."
Troubleshooting
Q. Difficult to talk on handset
A. Talking on handset may be difficult in a place with too
much noise.
A. When you talk on handset using Speaker, check the
volume level. Talking on handset may be difficult if you
increase the volume level.
Q. Click noise during a call
A. Are you moving anywhere during a call? Click noise may
be heard when switching to another area due to weak
signal reception. This is not a malfunction.
Cautions on Emergency Calls
Areas where You Can Use Emergency Calls
You can use emergency calls only within a SoftBank service
area.
Airplane Mode
While Airplane Mode is enabled, please be forewarned that
you cannot use emergency calls.
Placing Calls
Dial number
Number is shown (dial window).
・Include area code for landline numbers.
・
To correct number, Press to delete digit(s), then
enter correct number.
・
In dial window, (Menu) Phone Book to select
contact.
Handset dials the number.
・
Alternatively, Call .
・Call begins when other party answers.
To end call,
Call ends.
・Alternatively, close handset to end call.
・While earphones are connected or you are talking on handset
using Speaker, closing handset does not end call.
