Encrypting Data in SD Card
In Lock/Security window, Encryption & credentials
Encrypt SD card NEXT Enter Lock No./
password ENCRYPT
・Charge handset sufficiently beforehand and perform
procedure with handset kept charged.
・Set Lock No./password for unlock screen beforehand.
・If SD card does not have sufficient free space,
encryption/decryption cannot be performed.
・Data in encrypted SD card cannot be used with another
device.
・Encrypted SD card can be used with another device by
decrypting SD card.
・If all reset is performed with SD card encrypted, please
be forewarned that data in SD card cannot be used.
Decrypt SD card before performing all reset.
・If you insert a SD card into a device by which encryption
is performed, files saved in the SD card will be encrypted.
・It may take some time for SD card to be encrypted/
decrypted. Do not stop charging while encryption is in
progress. Data in SD card may be lost if encryption is
interrupted.

Caution on Screen Lock
Take a note of specified Lock No./password to unlock
screen so that you do not forget it. If you should forget
it, handset must be serviced at a SoftBank Shop. Please be
forewarned that files and settings are lost if handset is
serviced.
Caution on Encrypting Handset
Note the following when encrypting handset.
・To decrypt handset, perform "Reset Settings."
・
If PIN is specified for unlocking screen, the screen
for entering storage decryption password appears when
handset activates. Enter PIN to unlock.
・If you enter wrong PIN/Password 10 or 20 times
consecutively when decrypting storage, restart handset
and try again. Please be forewarned that handset will
be initialized if you enter wrong PIN/Password 30 times
consecutively.
・
If you change method for unlocking screen to PIN /
Password after handset is encrypted, the screen for
entering storage decryption password appears when
handset activates.
