When pa rking the motorcycle, never leave the ignition cut in sin -
ce
the storag e battery may discharge through th e primary w inding
of the igni tion coil, thus causing dam age not o nly to the bat te ry, but
.a lso to the ignition coil (causing the latter to be b urn t out) .
To corr ectly install the headlamp, proceed as follows:
install the motorcycle (with a load) on a fl at ground in front of
.a wh ite wall or screen, at 10 m dis ta nce from the h ea dlamp glass
to the wall (Fig. 36);

suc h a positi on at which 11:he axis of the high b eam is set horiz ontal-
ly, i- ·e. th e centre of the light spot on the screen a nd the cen tre of th e
headla mp are at an equal distance from the gr ound;
now check the lo we r beam. The upp er boun dary of the light spot
projected o nto the screen must be no t less than 10 em below the

eadl amp centre (with the low er beam filament switc hed on);
secure the bolts fasteni ng the headl amp.
Provid ed at the front an d re ar of
the motor cycle are turn indicator lamps
Y IT22313 with orange -co loured light
filters and bulbs .A l2-21 (Fig. 37). The
motorcycle on its rear wheel mudguard
is fitted with ru.by-,coloured lamp
<I>IT246 with bulbs Al2-21 ,a nd Al2-3,
the lamp has a tr anspar ent o rgani c
glass fi tt ed in its lower part for ligtht-
ing up the number plat e.
