In the Event of Supply Failures
In the Event of a Power Failure
Julian will automatically switch to the integrated
uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
If the battery is charged, operation will be maintained
for at least 30 minutes.
The message POWER FAIL! appears on the screen
together with the remaining available battery capacity
in percent.
Example: JJ
JJ
95 %
If the battery is almost completely discharged, the
message BATTERY LOW !!! appears on the screen.
Julian then automatically switches to MAN/SPONT
ventilation mode.
● Adjust safety O2 flow control to a sufficient flow level
(1-12 L/min).
● Check Vapor setting.
● Ventilate patient manually!
In the Event of a Gas Failure
Julian generates an alarm if the O2, AIR or N2O
supply fails.
● Open the valve on the corresponding backup gas
cylinder on the rear of the workstation if it had been
closed.
● Check pressure display for the backup gas cylinder
● Reestablish supply from pipeline.
If there is no backup supply of gas available, Julian
replaces the set gas mixture with AIR or O2:
Julian delivers 100 % AIR if the O2 supply fails.
Julian delivers 100 % O2 if the N2O supply fails.
Julian delivers 100 % O2 if the AIR supply fails.
The amount of fresh gas flow (L/min) remains
constant.
WARNING !
Devices connected to the auxiliary outlets will
not be powered by the uninterruptible power
supply in the event of a power failure.
