See “Front Cover Sensor” on page 4-3.
Sensor Test - Compact 32d, 32c and 53c

Sensor Descriptions
Note: Except for the Cover Sensor, all other sensor values displayed
are analogue based on detection of a magnet.
Arm 1 (Left and Right) - The arm sensor monitors the position of the
dancing arms in the dynamic range, i.e. where the dancing arms are
positioned when the printer is operating correctly. See “Arm 'Sensors'” on
page 4-32.
Cover Sensor - This sensor detects the presence of the protective cover
that goes around the printer. A value of, or close to 512, means that the
cover is not present.
For more information, see “Front Cover Sensor” on page 4-3.
Ribbon Alarm Left and Right - The ribbon alarm is activated if the
dancing arm reaches the magnetic sensor. To manually activate the sensor,
place a magnet in front of the sensor and verify that the sensor is activated.
Home Sensor (Left, Middle and Right) - This detects the position of
the print head carrier. See “Home ‘Sensors’” on page 4-33.
Height1, Height2 and Height3 -This monitors the height of the print
head in relation to the substrate.
