The print speed is above 600mm/sec
(for Compact 32d, 32c and 53c) or
1000mm/sec (for Communicator II). In
CM, go to Global Print Settings and tick
Fast Mode.
Ribbon keeps breaking Upon activating ribbon economy,
reduce pressure.
The ribbon spool is damaged.
The contrast is too high.
The ribbon is not fitting correctly over
the top of the print head guide roller(s).
For Compact 32d, 32c and 53c only: If
using 22mm wide R1 Grade ribbon, the
ribbon tension must be reduced by
changing the Rewind dancing arm
spring to position 6 and the unwind
dancing arm spring to position 4.
Note: It is very important to follow
this through when
activating the ribbon
economy functionality.
WR1 ribbon sticks to
substrate; noise levels
increase
If the printer is used in temperatures
above 30°C with WR1 ribbon, the
ribbon is not separating correctly. To
correct the problem, increase the
rewind tension one position at a time
until the problem is resolved.
