9.9 Sinusoidal filter

The DX-SIN3… sinusoidal filter removes high-frequency components from
the frequency inverter’s output voltage (U
2
). This reduces conducted and
radiated interference. The sinusoidal filter’s output voltage has a sine wave
shape with a small superimposed ripple voltage.
The sinusoidal voltage’s total harmonic distortion is typically 5 to 10 %.
This reduces noise and losses in the motor.
