FOTA
EPIR3 alarm system supports FOTA (rmware-over-the-air) feature. This
allows to upgrade the rmware remotely via GPRS connection. Once the
upgrade process is initiated, the system connects to the specied FTP
server address where the rmware le is hosted and begins downloading
and re-ashing the rmware. The rmware le must be located in a folder
titled Firmware. In order to initiate the upgrade process, please, send the
following SMS message.
SMS text message content:
XXXX_FOTA:ftp-server-IP,port, rmware-le-name.bin,user-name,password
Value: ftp-server-IP - IP address of FTP server where EPIR3 rmware le is
stored; port - port number of FTP server (usually - 21); rmware-le-name.
bin - name of the rmware le, allowed max. length - up to 31 character;
user-name - user name of FTP server login, allowed max. length - up to 31
character; password - password of FTP server login, allowed max. length - up
to 31 character.
Example:
1111_FOTA:84.15.143.111,21,EPIR3fw. bin,eldesuser,eldespassword
ATTENTION: Firmware lename MUST be renamed in lowercase format before using it.
ATTENTION: Comma and underscore character is NOT allowed to use in user name, password and rmware
le name.
ATTENTION: “ELDES UAB” does not run a FTP server and does not host the rmware les online. Please,
contact your local distributor to request the latest rmware le.
NOTE: It is strongly recommended to restore default parameters after the rmware update.
