Transport and store the unit at a suitable temperature and level
of humidity. You will find the tolerances for temperature and hu-
midity in the Technical Data.
If other ambient conditions must be observed for transport and
storage of the unit, you will also find them in the Technical Data.
NOTICE
Insufficient acclimatization time, unsuitable temperature during
acclimatization
If the unit was stored or transported below or above a certain tem-
perature, it will take a certain time and temperature to acclimatize.
If you do not observe the rules, the unit can sustain damage and fail.
Acclimatize the unit according to the rules in the Technical Data.
Do not place the CO
2
bottle close to a heat source. Heaters or air
conditioners are examples of heat sources. Do not actively heat
the CO
2
bottle, e.g. using a fan heater. Do not expose the CO
2
bot-
tle to direct sunlight.
NOTICE
Overheating of the unit due to poor ventilation
If ventilation is poor, the unit can overheat, sustain damage, and fail.
Install the unit in such a way that there is an unobstructed circu-
lation of air around the housing. Installation in confined wall re-
cesses is prohibited.
WARNING
Penetration of liquid into the unit
Risk of electric shock to the medical personnel.
The unit may become damaged and fail.
Make sure no liquid can penetrate the unit.
Do not place vessels containing liquids on top of the unit.
If fluid has penetrated into the unit, take the unit out of operation
immediately. You can only start using the unit again once it has
been checked by a service technician.
Unit
The unit may only be operated in rooms used for medical purposes. Furthermore, the
ambient conditions for the transport, storage, acclimatization and operation of the unit
must be observed. The ambient conditions are provided in the Technical Data chapter.
Gas bottle
Different ambient conditions to those for the unit apply for the operation, acclimatiza-
tion, transport and storage of the gas bottle. Refer to the Technical Data, Safe handling
of carbon dioxide and the gas bottle and Safety Instructions chapters in this User Man
-
ual and to the safety instructions provided by the gas supplier.
