:SYSTem:VERSion?
Description The SYSTem:VERSion? query returns a value
corresponding to the SCPI version number to
which the device complies.
The SYSTem:VERSion? is a query only and,
therefore, does not have an associated *RST
state.
Syntax :SYSTem:VERSion?
Parameter(s) None
Response Syntax <Version>
Response(s) Version:
The response data syntax for <Version> is
defined as a <NR2 NUMERIC RESPONSE DATA>
element.
The <Version> is shown in the form
Year.Revision, where Year represents the
year-version (that is 1990) and Revision
represents an approved revision number for that
year. If no approved revisions are claimed, then
this extension is 0.
Example(s) SYSTem:VERSion? returns 1999.0 (no approved
revisions are claimed)
