Operation
Note: F or X-Series EFI Models Only , the engine
RPM will automatically reduce when the PTO
switc h is diseng ag ed to extend the clutc h life .
Stopping the Engine
1. Bring the mac hine to a full stop .
2. With the motion control lev ers in neutral position,
place the throttle midw a y betw een the “SLO W”
and “F AST” positions .
3. Push do wn on the PTO switc h to diseng ag e the
blades .
4. Eng ag e the parking brak e .
5. Allo w the engine to r un for a minim um of 15
seconds , then tur n the ignition switc h to the
“OFF” position to stop the engine .
6. R emo v e the k ey to prev ent c hildren or other
unauthorized persons from star ting engine .
Driving the Machine
CAUTION
Machine can spin v er y rapidl y by positioning one
lev er too much ahead of the other . Operator may
lose contr ol of the machine, which may cause
dama ge to the machine or injur y .
• Use caution when making tur ns.
• Slo w the machine do wn bef or e making shar p
tur ns.
Important: T o begin mo v ement (f orw ard or
backw ard), the brak e lev er must be disenga ged
(pushed f orw ard) bef or e the motion contr ol
lev er s can be mo v ed.
W hen the motion control lev ers are positioned in
the center the dri v e system is in the neutral position
( Figure 5 ).
Note: T he “N” LCD indicator appears when the
lev ers are in the neutral position, and the brak e is
eng ag ed..
With the brak e diseng ag ed, the dri v e system is in the
operate position.
Dri ving F orw ard
1. Ste p onto the platfor m of the mac hine .
Note: T he OPC LCD indicator appears when
the operator is on the platfor m.
2. Mak e sure the motion control lev ers are in the
neutral position.
3. R elease the parking brak e .
4. T o mo v e forw ard in a straight line , mo v e both
rear lev ers forw ard with equal pressure .
