6 Electrical connection

• The electrical c onnection may only be c reated in a voltage-free status and only by
qualified personnel.
Caution
Use only power sources which guarantee reliable electrical disconnection of the operat-
ing voltage in accordance with IEC/DIN EN 60204-1. Observe also the general require-
ments for PELV power c ircuits in accordance with I EC/DI N EN 60204-1.
Note
Long signal lines reduce the resistance to interference.
• Make sure that the signal lines are not longer than 20 m.
• The signal lines must be separated from lines that emit interference, in ac c ordance
with EN 60204-1.
