User’s manual FlexGain Plex, V2
Version 1.3 71 from 99
<PCMMODE> command.
The <PCMMODE> command allows the configuration of the E1 stream to operate
with PCM30 or PCM31 signals. This command also activates/deactivates the cyclic
redundancy check (CRC4). A PCM31 signal is an E1 stream with a cyclic structure and has
32 time slots in the range from 0 to 31. In this case TS No. 0 is used to transmit a FAS. In
PCM 30 signals, TS No. 16 is used for signaling in CAS. In this case the stream has a
MFAS. Signaling bits associated with this or that user TS are transmitted transparently.
PCM30C and PCM31C are modified variants of PCM30 and PCM31 modes,
respectively. But they also have a cyclic redundancy check (CRC4 method). This method
allows the detection of errors in the E1 stream during the channel operation.
The use of PCM30C or PCM31C is obligatory to provide operation of voice
interfaces. In PCM30 and PCM31 modes, TS No. 16 is cross-connected as a user’s. In this
case the multiplexer can provide the data transmission over the V.35 or Ethernet
interfaces, as well as a cross-connect between E1 streams.
Command syntax:
<PCMMODE> [PCM1|PCM2 PCM30 | PCM31 | PCM30C | PCM31C]
where:
PCM1, PCM2 are notations of Е1 streams.
PCM30 sets the PCM30 mode;
PCM31sets the PCM31 mode;
PCM30C sets the PCM30C mode with the cyclic redundancy check of the E1 stream by
the CRC4 method;
PCM31C sets the PCM31C mode with the cyclic redundancy check of the E1 stream by
the CRC4 method;
To display the help information, enter <PCMMODE /H>.
Example:
PLEX2_01_CM>PCMMODE PCM1 PCM31
PLEX2_01_CM>PCMMODE
PCM-stream modes:
PCM1: PCM31
PCM2: PCM30C
PCM3: PCM30C
<PORT> command.
The <PORT> command is used for fine tuning of voice ports.
The <PORT> command without any parameters displays the configurations similarly
to the <CONFIG PORT> command (displays current settings of voice ports).
