The FLIR identiFINDER
®
R200, engineered and manufactured by FLIR Detection is a digital, self-contained,
battery-powered instrument that puts the power of gamma spectroscopy in the palm of the hand.
It is part of the FLIR Detection family of instruments designed to provide critical capabilities required in a
wide range of mission circumstances. Such capabilities include:
l search for sources of gamma radiation or scan areas contaminated with gamma radionuclides,
l automatic identification of radionuclides by analysis of gamma ray spectra,
l gamma dose and dose rate measurements.
The FLIR identiFINDER
®
R200 combines the features of a Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) with the power
of a Radioisotope Identifier (RIID) into one small, convenient and robust package.
Since the design of the FLIR identiFINDER
®
R200 is especially ruggedized, AND given the com-
ponents require no user-directed maintenance, it will never
be required that the end-user open
the instrument, or remove any tamper-proof labeling. Doing so invalidates the warranty, and
could cause irreparable damage to the detector.
