To clean the terminals:
1. Turn off the Tester and remove all test leads.
2. Shake out any dirt that may be in the terminals.
3. Moisten a clean cotton swab with alcohol and clean the inside of each terminal.
Ta b l e 9 is a list of replaceable parts for the Tester.
Battery Condition
The Tester continuously monitors the condition of the battery and shows the status on the
display. See Status.
To view information about the battery condition:
1. Push
O.
2. Select Device Settings.
3. Select Info.
4. Select Battery Info.
The Battery Info page opens to show the details of the battery and condition.
5. Tap
2 to exit the page and go back to the Main menu.
Battery Replacement
XW Warning
To prevent possible electrical shock, fire, or personal injury:
Do not short the battery terminals together.
Do not disassemble or crush battery cells and battery packs.
Do not put battery cells and battery packs near heat or fire. Do not put in
sunlight.
Use only the Fluke BP290 or Fluke-recommended equivalent for replacement.
W Caution
Replace the rechargeable battery after 5 years.
