4.10-6 Section 4: Using the Model 9100: Mark/Period Function
Final Width = 215mm
4.10.5.1 Time-Interval Resolution Thresholds
The different time-interval resolutions are distinguished by two characteristics:
Shortest and longest time-intervals available.
Absolute resolution of the least-significant digit.
'Mark' Time-Intervals
The following table shows the spans of output
Mark time-intervals for the Mark/Period
function, against their associated resolutions.
4.10.5 Crossing Thresholds
Absolute Span of Time-Intervals Span of Time-Intervals
Resolution for -6.0V — +6.0V Output for -30V — +30V Output
100ns 000.3 µs to 999.9 µs* 010.00 µs to 999.9 µs**
100ns 00.0003 ms to 99.9999 ms* 00.0100 ms to 99.9999 ms**

10µs 0000.01 ms to 1999.99 ms* 0000.01 ms to 1999.99 ms**
Notes * = Maximum interval must be at least 0.3
µ
s less than that of the set period.
** = Maximum interval must be at least 10
µ
s less than that of the set period.
'Period' Time-Intervals

function, against their associated resolutions.
