Solving problems
v On-screen messages
If one of the following messages appears on your TV screen, make
a note of the number that appears with the message (for example,
F001). If you need to call your service provider (e.g. FOXTEL or
TELSTRA) for assistance, please have the number handy so they can
help you as quickly as possible.
Problem Possible cause Suggested solution
Please insert your
Smartcard.
There is no FOXTEL
Smartcard in the
Smartcard slot in the
FOXTEL iQ.
Insert the FOXTEL Smartcard into the Smartcard
slot.
There is a Smartcard
error. Please
ensure your FOXTEL
Smartcard is correctly
inserted. Call 131
999 for assistance.
The FOXTEL iQ cannot
recognise the FOXTEL
Smartcard.
Check it is the correct FOXTEL Smartcard. Check it
is in the right way up. Check that the card is not
damaged.
If the problem continues please switch the FOXTEL
iQ off at the power supply and then turn back on.
If the problem persists call FOXTEL on 131 999.
Insert your new
FOXTEL Smartcard.
Call your service
provider for
assistance.
The old FOXTEL
Smartcard is no longer
valid.
You should have received a new FOXTEL Smartcard
through the post.
Remove the old FOXTEL Smartcard and insert the
new FOXTEL Smartcard.
