Communications Screen
SCREEN NAME: Maintenance.
ACCESSING:
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this screen being shown here is to indicate where the [Redetect I/O
Boards] key is located. This selection provides a method to detect all connected Analog and Digital boards.
For additional information about this screen, refer to S90-020 CS (Communications Manual).
The following are some of the things that can occur that
would cause an I/O board to stop communicating with the
Quantum™ LX, and would require that you Detect I/O
Boards:
• A board has been removed, and power was
turned on with the board removed. You would
need to replace the board, re-power, then Detect
I/O Boards.
•
A board has failed in such a way that it cannot
properly communicate with the Quantum™ LX.
•
A failure with the communications cable which is
plugged into the end of each board
If any of these things occur, a communications error
shutdown will be issued until this key is selected. You
should always view the About screen to see what has
been detected.
