Fiber Optic Cables
NOTE…
The fiber optic cables and their mating couplers are typically shipped with
protective caps to safeguard these sensitive components. These must be removed
just prior to mating the fiber optic cables to the SFP transceiver…
WARNING!
Be careful not to scratch the ends of the fiber cables where they protrude from
the fibre connectors!
When handling fiber optic cables, DO NOT bend them beyond their minimum
bend radius – typically 3” – or signal degradation or failure may ensue!
Never stare into the end of a ‘live’ fiber optic cable!
