Network Communications Cables
Your SONAbeam terminal interfaces your network traffic via an industry standard small
form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver. An assortment of interface SFP transceivers is
available as factory-installed options from fSONA Networks or you can provide your
own.
Installing Your Own SFP Transceiver
Carefully insert your SFP transceiver into the
FIBER DATA
port, as shown in Figure
13
WARNING!
Be careful to orient the SFP transceiver correctly as shown!
Failure to correctly insert the transceiver may damage the transceiver AND the
terminal’s SFP transceiver cage!

Factory Installed Interfaces
When your SONAbeam terminal in factory configured with an interface option, remove
the Dust Cap from the installed transceiver, as shown in Figure 14
