Cleaning the Interior of the Printer
Following the removal of a paper jam or the replacement of the print cartridge, inspect the
inside of the printer before closing cover A.
• If any pieces of paper are left inside the printer, remove them.
• If there is any dust or stains inside the printer, wipe them with a soft clean cloth.
Cleaning the Feed Rollers
Cleaning of the Tray Feed Roller Unit
Feeding illustrated postcards or paper with a lot of paper dust may cause image transfer
prevention powder or dust to adhere to the paper rollers and make paper feed impossible.
If paper feed becomes impossible, thoroughly wipe the paper feed rollers with a moistened
and then thoroughly wrung cloth using the procedure described below.
There are paper feed rollers in 2 locations inside the printer and 1 location inside each paper
tray.
If optional tray modules are installed, there is the same number of tray retard roller for each
tray module.
