● The indicator flashes: The battery is either too hot or too cold to be charged.

Battery indicators (battery 1 or battery 2)
The charging state of the batteries is shown with the two battery indicators. 1 indicates
that the information applies to the first battery in the battery compartment. 2 indicates that
the information applies to the second battery in the module bay.
indicates that the battery is charged to between 0%-25% of its maximum
capacity.
indicates that the battery is charged to between 25%-50% of its maximum
capacity.
indicates that the battery is charged to between 50%-75% of its maximum
capacity.
indicates that the battery is charged to between 75%-100% of its maximum
capacity.
indicates that the battery is defective and needs to be replaced.
Wireless LAN/Bluetooth/UMTS indicator
The wireless component (Wireless LAN module/Bluetooth/UMTS) is switched on.
CD/DVD indicator
● The indicator lights up: The CD/DVD in the optical drive is being accessed.
● You may only remove the CD/DVD when the indicator is dark.
Hard disk indicator
The hard disk drive of the notebook is being accessed.

Num Lock indicator
The
Num key has been pressed. The virtual numeric keypad is activated. You can
output the characters located at the upper right on the keys.
A
Caps Lock indicator
The
key has been pressed. All the characters you type appear in uppercase. In the
case of overlay keys, the character printed on the upper left of the key appears when that
key is pressed.
Scroll indicator (Scroll Lock)
The key combination Fn + Scr has been pressed. The effect this key has varies from
programme to programme.
